People!
As many of you know, I am travelling now, and this time it will be more than days, or weeks, it will be two months.
I am living in Aquixtla, Puebla, a small town (less than 1500 inhabitants) in the center of Mexico. It is a pictoresque, cold and colorful town in the middle of the mountains, not far from mexico city(3 hours approx). The activity of the whole town spins around the main road that crosses it from north to south. It is rare to see a motorized thing on it. The only certain thing is that at half past the hour you will see the bus coming from Mexico city.
The church is a magnificent and beautiful yellow building, that excels from the houses that surround it, all painted in white. The air is always filled with the sounds of hens and birds.
Cell-phones are here a romantic idea from a far-away planet. It is still hard for me to get used to an environment completely different from Mexico city.
Today we went to remote communities, far away from asphalted roads, in places were most live among the dust. I was commisioned to do a poll among the residents, and their answers stroke me: none of them had anything in this life. The land they use to plant is not theirs, their houses are all improvised, they lack water, their sons and daughters are skinny to the bones, their present has never belonged to them and their future…….
When I see the children of these places, running in the sun, poorly dressed, without shoes, my mind only keeps asking: why?
When you go to say hello to someone, and give them your hand, they never see you to the eyes, and when you speak to them, some only look to the floor. It is sad to see this, and believe that probably people here live in an inertia that is one of the biggest problems we face as mankind.
My objective here: create enterpreneurs in two months.I have no clue how is that going to happen, or from where am I going to start, two months pass in the blink of an eye, but still: nothing is impossible!
Cheers!
